SYMPOSIUM ON SCIENTIFIC BASIS OF HOMEOPATHIC MEDICINE (PHYSIOLOGIC REGULATING MEDICINE)

A dedicated symposium entitled “Scientific basis of Physiological RegulatingMedicine” (P.R.M.) was held at the Stritch School of Medicine, Loyola University Medical Center under the auspices of A.I.O.T., (Milan, Italy) and GUNA Biotherapeutics (Albuquerque, NM) on November 17, 2007.

The primary objective of this symposium was to provide the scientific basis of HomeopathicMedicine in the light of the current knowledge of the role of cellular mediators of biologic responses in particular cytokines and chemokines. This was a timely topic as the Dean of the Stritch School of Medicine; Dr. Jack Lee has identified complementary/alternative medicine as an important curricular component in the medical school. This program was chaired by Professor Umberto Cornelli of Corcon, Milan, Italy, who also has an adjunct professorship in the department of pharmacology of the Stritch school of Medicine. The faculty included Dr. Cornelli, Dr. Lucilla Ricottini, Dr. Leonello Milani, and Dr. Ivo Bianchi. The program was attended by 75 distinguished physicians and scientists from United States, South America and European community.

On June 21st, 2008, a symposium entitled “Scientific Basis of Physiological Regulating Medicine” (PRM) was held at the Miller School of Medicine, University of Miami (Coral Gable Campus) MedicalWellness Center under the auspices of the Department of Complementary and Integrative Medicine in cooperation with the International Academy of Physiological Regulating Medicine (Milan, Italy), and GUNA Biotherapeutics (Albuquerque, NM). The symposium provided key insights into the scientific basis of Homeopathy, Homotoxicology, and PRM.
